For some reason Friday night was a rough one so I for one slept in Saturday morning. The campground we were at had alot of pine trees and we had a big wind storm so the packing up tasks took a little longer than normal. The owners of the campground were really nice people and did not mind us setting out late.
The drive to Boston was actually a really pretty one. The leaves down here are just starting to turn vs. in Maine and New York where they were starting to fall off. We decided to skip the non-toll routes and instead follow the freeways. The tolls were under $10 total and the road conditions were really good so I think it was a good choice.
The campground we chose to stay at while visiting Boston is really more of an RV resort than a campground. When we pulled in they ran us through all of the services they offer including free concierge service and they will even come and walk your dog for free if you are gone for the day. I think we could get used to this!
We were escorted to our site and man is this a big place. I would guess about 300 RVs are here and that is not even when the campground is full. After parking we went and checked out the activities lodge where they have a game room, pool, sauna, spa and fitness center. We then went to one of two kid playgrounds so Spence and Ben-Sky could play. Brynna helped watch them while Stace and I went back to make dinner. I had spare time while the other stuff was cooking so Brighton and I took Heidi down to the Dog Park. I think it is about half an acre! She had a great time running free and exploring all the cool dog agility type toys in the park.
We had dinner and then hit the sack. It was a good day, nice drive and everyone got to do a little of what they liked.
Welcome to our Adventure...
We packed up the kids, dog and the trailer and headed out for adventure, learning and helping others. During our adventure we will try to update this site as often as possible to keep everyone interested involved in our travels and to keep a journal for ourselves. The plan is to be working, schooling, helping and sharing on the road for a year.
