It is so nice to have our Dad back with us! Brock had to get up EARLY this morning to take Harald to the airport, but then we were all able to relax and go to church together. We chose to attend West Orange Christian Church, a small church only about a mile and a half from our campground. We all stayed together for the service and there was good teaching on the Bible and how it isn't just another book. The people were friendly and we we enjoyed being a part of their congregation.
When we got home to the trailer, I started making French dips and French fries for lunch. Only problem was that the French rolls that I'd purchased several days ago by now, were moldy. Whoops! Brock and Bri ran to a local grocery store and bought some more rolls and a gallon of milk. Lunch was saved. My heroes!
After lunch, Brock worked on fixing his laptop (Yoda USB was essential to his success ;o) and I tried to work on Sky's scooter. It isn't functioning the way we'd like and before we threw it out, I thought I'd try to make a couple of adjustments. It seemed to be working ok after I'd tinkered for close to an hour, but I'm not sure that I actually did anything.
The rest of the day was filled with some laying around, a little sleeping, and a lot of trying to plan where to go the rest of the month and into December. We have reservations here at this park through the night of the 21st, meaning we will have to move on Thanksgiving. This park is completely full. They'd said they were full back in August when we made the reservations here, but we hadn't put it together that that was the holiday weekend. It seems early. So, we have a couple of ideas to call and see if we can get reservations, but no actual reservations as of yet. We also have a couple of birthdays coming up and I'd feel better knowing where we'll be for those. We'll work on it over the next couple of days.
Welcome to our Adventure...
We packed up the kids, dog and the trailer and headed out for adventure, learning and helping others. During our adventure we will try to update this site as often as possible to keep everyone interested involved in our travels and to keep a journal for ourselves. The plan is to be working, schooling, helping and sharing on the road for a year.
