In actuality, we got out around 10:20 due to the fact that our black tank wasn't dumping completely. Brock had to back flush it, which is unpleasant for you to know, but it does the job. He has to hook up an external hose and fill the black tank with clean water from the outside and then when he opens the tank again, it runs out. It's just time consuming.
We made it to Camping World and it sure felt weird to drive off and leave our home there. Strange since we had no idea how long they would take or where we would stay tonight. We were hopeful though, that they would be able to fix a leak in our shower, shorted out lights in the bunk slide and the main one, a leak in the slide in the bunk when it rains. The weird thing is that the wetness is under the carpet and in the center of the slide. So it kind of defies identification.
We drove straight from CW to Zaxby's which is a restaurant chain new to us that serves chicken. It was a pretty good lunch. We found a public library just about a mile away and headed there to work on school and work for the rest of the afternoon. Until, we very nearly got kicked out because even though his sound was off, Brock accepted a call and was speaking in very hushed tones with the service department about the trailer. So, we got talked to by one of the librarians because "we have a no cell phone policy here". We cleared out pretty quickly after that. But everyone used their time wisely while it lasted.
We headed back to pick up the trailer and they were able to fix 2 of the three items on the list. They weren't able to duplicate the leak. The two things they fixed should be covered by our warranty so that is very good. They offered to get a machine up here from one of their other locations that will pressure test the trailer and find the leak so we agreed to bring the trailer back
tomorrow.
We are thankful to be able to sleep in our own beds, but where to park the trailer? It seems that all the local campgrounds are closed for the season around here. We pulled into a Walmart parking lot so that we could pick up a few groceries. When Brighton got out, Heidi jumped right out after him!! All of us nearly panicked, but now we know that Heidi is growing up because she just looked at me and came right to me when I called her. Phew! That was scary.
We got our groceries and called the Sam's Club manager to see if it would be ok to park in their lot for tonight. Tom said that it was allowed. The manager agreed that it would be ok, but we'll need to get moving around 7 am. The lot was so quiet as the store was closing, but right about the time that we got parked and stabilized about 5 big semis parked all around us. Guess this is where they overnight too? For some reason, they idle their trucks while they park. Oh well, glad it is a free night. :O)
We are sleeping with the bunk slide in tonight. We've never done that before, but it seems to be working just fine. That way, when it rains tonight, we won't have to worry.
So, tomorrow night we'll be in the same boat trying to find some place nearby to stay, but hopefully we'll have a sealed up rig and no worries.
