Today was a somewhat regular day for the kids and I. Everyone was in the groove as far as working independently on their school work. I love it when that happens. I am really amazed watching Skylar grow in his reading skills. He really wants his own school work to do. We aren't doing a formal kindergarten curriculum this year on the road, but he is loving his Brain Quest workbook and his online reading learning game, Reading Eggs. He also gets quite a bit out of listening "from the side lines" while entertaining himself. He comprehends a lot of what the other kids are doing.
We still didn't spend much time outside. It was a little gray and cloudy today even though it was still very comfortable temperatures.
The big news was a culmination of a lot of what Brock has been working on in recent weeks. He and Greg's company acquired their main competitor in Bend. The team in Bend took on the challenge and did a great job planning and executing the transaction. The former competitor's team is joining with the Weston team which we are excited about. Things are about to get even more crazy during the next few months of adjustment period.
I think we are all happy that it is Friday. We are looking forward to the weekend.
Welcome to our Adventure...
We packed up the kids, dog and the trailer and headed out for adventure, learning and helping others. During our adventure we will try to update this site as often as possible to keep everyone interested involved in our travels and to keep a journal for ourselves. The plan is to be working, schooling, helping and sharing on the road for a year.
