Mostly due to the high winds and Brock's workload, we decided to stay put in Albuquerque for awhile longer.
It is strange to me that these winds are not out of the ordinary here. There are no announcements on the weather forecast. There were signs on the highway that said something like, "High winds, low visibility. High profile vehicles use caution." But I kept expecting there to be tornado warnings or something with how the trailer rocks and dust and debris blows around.
We were working on our school work and all of a sudden when I looked out the trailer window, I saw this big bank of brown hazy "clouds" that completely obliterated the view of the mountains. I think a good amount of the clouds are just a huge dust storm.
There wasn't a single drop of rain that fell in the area.
Here are some pictures of the sky this afternoon.
Welcome to our Adventure...
We packed up the kids, dog and the trailer and headed out for adventure, learning and helping others. During our adventure we will try to update this site as often as possible to keep everyone interested involved in our travels and to keep a journal for ourselves. The plan is to be working, schooling, helping and sharing on the road for a year.
