I took Heidi for her walk this morning and early on I saw a creepy looking tree full of vultures.
Then, a few minutes later, I saw a black snake coiled up on the side of the road near where I was walking, but I was able to go around it. Later in the day, I saw another snake slither out of the tree that is just about 2 feet from the rear of our trailer. Creepy...
Once school was finished up for the day, I did a little online Christmas shopping. That was fun. Then we went down to the area called Coquina Beach near Bradenton Beach so we could unwind and watch the sunset. It's amazing what the sound of the waves can do as far as destressing. We walked a little, some of us waded; we looked at shells and enjoyed the warmth. It was a little cooler as the sun set, but still very comfortable and pleasant.
From there, we headed to Wal-mart to pick up groceries and there we caved in and bought a Christmas tree. It's just the right size for us and it's a living tree so maybe we can enjoy its green in the months to come after Christmas. We were all excited to have found it; it was slightly less satisfying than hunting in the forest, but exciting nonetheless. When we got it home to the trailer, Sky made a star for on the tree's top. We even found a good place for the tree to live that will keep it out of the way when we need it to be. We don't use that wall sconce fixture much anyway.
We still don't know for certain where we're going from here so we'd better make that a priority for tomorrow so we can make sure to have reservations somewhere.
hahahah you guys are so creative!! I love the wall sconce idea...never would have thought of that. The snake thing is very creepy. love seeing and hearing about your day thanks for being faithful to the posting:-) Mom
