Welcome to our Adventure...

We packed up the kids, dog and the trailer and headed out for adventure, learning and helping others. During our adventure we will try to update this site as often as possible to keep everyone interested involved in our travels and to keep a journal for ourselves. The plan is to be working, schooling, helping and sharing on the road for a year.
Please feel free to post comments and questions! Thanks for following!

Spencer's 9th Birthday

The day started out with Spencer opening a couple of his birthday gifts and enjoying a tiny bit of play time with them. Spencer's choice of breakfast...Krispy Kreme Glazed Donuts and fruit salad. Can anyone say sugar coma???  The morning was a little rough after that with bickering during  school time, but just before noon we formally sat down together and prayed together for a do-over and things improved from there.

We got the laundry done, clean sheets on the bed for Grandma Beth, 90% of schoolwork done and ate Spencer's pick for lunch which was some yummy cheesy chipotle chicken burritos from Costco. Then it was time to head for the airport to pick up Grandma!

Tom faithfully directed us straight to the airport.  It was a confidence booster to have ridden alongside Brock to the same terminal yesterday so I could actually see where the arrivals and departures were. I went straight to the arrivals area and looped the circle about 3 times, communicating with Mom via our phones and we just couldn't seem to find each other. Finally, I asked her if she was at the Blue Terminal which is where it said United should be and we finally figured out she was at the Red Terminal for some reason. Phew. We found each other! Yay! I got to hug my Mommy!

We drove back to the trailer and briefly settled Mom into her accomodations, the master suite (ha ha), and then we got the campground office to print out some Chuck E. Cheese coupons for us and headed to Spencer's choice for dinner and games. This location of Chuck E's was very clean and bright, the games all worked well and a great time was had by all.

After Chuck E.'s we came home for Spencer's chosen birthday dessert ice cream cookie sandwiches and opening his last couple presents. Bedtime came a little bit late, but we all savored a little Grandma time before heading to bed.
