Welcome to our Adventure...

We packed up the kids, dog and the trailer and headed out for adventure, learning and helping others. During our adventure we will try to update this site as often as possible to keep everyone interested involved in our travels and to keep a journal for ourselves. The plan is to be working, schooling, helping and sharing on the road for a year.
Please feel free to post comments and questions! Thanks for following!

Family Day

It's so nice to wake up and see my Mom's face. :O)

We had another leisurely morning while waiting for Angel and Misha to arrive from Aventura, Florida. Angel rented a car and drove over and up this morning, about 4 hours, to be able to spend the day with us and see Mom.

They arrived about 11 am and we spent a little time visiting and the cousins played outside...scooters, swingball, jump rope, etc. We talked about what to do together. One option was the Tampa Air Museum, but after we agreed on that, I realized that our museum pass was in Brock's wallet in Bend. In the end, we decided we would go to eat the free hot dogs over at the cafe. From there, Nana really wanted to treat the kids to a couple minifigures apiece since it was so fun opening them yesterday, so we headed to Target.

We cleaned out Target of the rest of their season 8 minifigs and there was only enough for one apiece. We searched googlemaps and found that there was a Toys R'Us right in the same mall area so we decided to head over there. Unfortunately, this particular mall on a Saturday in December was SUPER CRAZY busy and it was really huge, more than I realized. I was following my gps to find the store and accidentally had to go all the way around the mall instead of a short drive across. With the traffic, it took us about a half hour to drive around. Toys R'US was really crowded, but we located the minifigs and grabbed up 6 more so that Nana and each of her present grandchildren could enjoy opening two at the minifig party back at the trailer. We also found a new scooter for Sky as the hand-me-down one that he's been using has had something wrong with it affecting the steering that I haven't been able to repair. Sky pooled his birthday money that he's received and bought himself a new scooter. It is so cool-looking and he made a comment that it even has the squishy handles and we don't have to put the tape on ourselves like we did with the old one. (ha ha ha)

Back at the trailer, everyone had fun seeing the mystery Lego characters revealed and played with. Then, all the kids put on their suits and we all headed over to the pool. The kids enjoyed a good hour and a half in the water playing marco polo and splashing around. Then Nana got into the hot tub for a little while with them. Then the kids jumped back into the pool and Nana dried off. I headed out to pick up a movie, Arthur Christmas, and get some pizzas started.
Watching Arthur Christmas, so fun to hear them all giggle together.

After dinner, the kids all went into the bunkroom to watch the movie and Angel, Mom and I got in some good visiting. After the movie, the kids got into their pjs. Our kids all slept in their regular beds, Misha took over Heidi's bed on the couch folded down. They all went right to sleep and the adults enjoyed a little more whispering time together. Around 10:45 pm, our eyelids were all getting heavy too and so Angel went to bed on the dinette where I've been sleeping since Mom arrived and I crawled in with Mom in my own bed.
