Welcome to our Adventure...

We packed up the kids, dog and the trailer and headed out for adventure, learning and helping others. During our adventure we will try to update this site as often as possible to keep everyone interested involved in our travels and to keep a journal for ourselves. The plan is to be working, schooling, helping and sharing on the road for a year.
Please feel free to post comments and questions! Thanks for following!

Siesta Beach

Today was a great family day. We got to sleep in. As soon as I opened my eyes I could see blue sky through the roof vent. We ate breakfast together and headed to the beach that has been voted Best in the U.S. called Siesta Beach.

When we got there, there were some worrisome clouds that threatened, but the temperatures were perfect and there was a nice warm breeze. We got to watch some paddleboarders, parasailers, and something else that we don't know what it was, something like a cross between IronMan and Doc Ock, like a hovercraft behind a jetski.

The kids dug a huge hole on the beach, built sandcastles and volcanoes, and swam.

Spencer saw a ray in the surf and ran screaming like a little girl.

Brock and I got in a little relaxing time on the beach blanket.

We finished off the day with fajitas back at the trailer and we followed through one of our Christmas traditions and watched Elf on TV. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday.

  1. That beach looks awesome! 36 degrees and pouring rain here....just so you know. How do you like the lights on the palm trees for Christmas? I thought that was pretty cool....along with Santa in shorts.
