We expected to be moving onto the next place today but the company we ordered the shocks from did not come through so luckily we can stay at our existing RV site until Tuesday AM. We awoke to sun again and a forecast of temperatures in the 80s! I took Heidi on a run looping around the campground a few times to get us both the exercise we need. She got more than I as Stacey had already taken Heidi to the dog park before I took her.
After our pancake breakfast we all got ready and purchased a "wash permit" from the RV park. We decided to make maximum use of our permit and washed the whole trailer and Yukon. I was ready to wash Heidi but decided we needed to finish up waxing the final side of the trailer instead. Brighton and I finished that off in an hour or two and it was HOT by the time we got done. Brighton did a good job and I was happy to have the help.
The kids had been wanting to get the "Rise of the Guardians" movie so we were able to track it down and went and picked that up. We then headed to Walmart (can't go a few days without that trip) and finally a stop at a sports store they have here called Academy. Brighton and I got new shoes and Brynna got new wheels for her Rip-Stick.
We finished the day with dinner of pasta salad with grilled chicken and the movie. Stacey and I also got a movie so we watched that before going to sleep. All in all a pretty nice and relaxing Saturday! I think we saw the temps up to 84 degrees.
Welcome to our Adventure...
We packed up the kids, dog and the trailer and headed out for adventure, learning and helping others. During our adventure we will try to update this site as often as possible to keep everyone interested involved in our travels and to keep a journal for ourselves. The plan is to be working, schooling, helping and sharing on the road for a year.
