Welcome to our Adventure...

We packed up the kids, dog and the trailer and headed out for adventure, learning and helping others. During our adventure we will try to update this site as often as possible to keep everyone interested involved in our travels and to keep a journal for ourselves. The plan is to be working, schooling, helping and sharing on the road for a year.
Please feel free to post comments and questions! Thanks for following!

The Grassy Knoll

We started the day back in the normal routine of work and school. During that time the crazy cardinal kept attacking our windows and car. (Stacey adds: The cute factor wore off and I was actually a little freaked out when this same bird came and clung to the window right outside the sink in the RV kitchen and just stared at me, turning his head and looking at me eye to eye.) About 2PM we took a break and went to Dallas again. Our goal was to see the site of John F Kennedy's assassination. We finally found the correct area and bought a souvenir paper from a man that had been selling them there for over 20 years. They had the marks in the street where the different shots had made impact. We also saw the notorious grassy knoll where many claim another shooter was located. A little bit of a morbid history lesson for the kids but a good one none the less.
We did not spend a lot of time there. They have a museum, but Steve from our office saw it while he was in Dallas this week and said it was not worth the steep price they want to charge.
First X on the street pavement just behind Bri's left shoulder, where the first shot struck JFK.
The grassy knoll, picket fence where 16 witnesses said they saw a shooter.
Book Depository - Can't quite see the infamous window - right behind the tree, 2nd floor from the top.
Downtown Dallas
An actual gargoyle??!
Very little has changed here since that day

After our brief history lesson, we headed back to the campground where I finished up work with a phone interview with a possible job candidate for Bend. We are glad it is the weekend finally - seems like a very long week!

Very good job, God!
