Welcome to our Adventure...

We packed up the kids, dog and the trailer and headed out for adventure, learning and helping others. During our adventure we will try to update this site as often as possible to keep everyone interested involved in our travels and to keep a journal for ourselves. The plan is to be working, schooling, helping and sharing on the road for a year.
Please feel free to post comments and questions! Thanks for following!

Kentucky Bound

We slept in yet again. Since we weren't successful in finding a church we wanted to attend in the small community where our campground was located, we chose to hold family church again. I read a small devotional tidbit from my Bible reading program that had to do with dealing with strife. It said there are three main things to look at when you are experiencing strife, your words, your pride, and your opinions. It shared the importance of learning to hold your tongue and not have to convince others that your opinions are "right". It was pretty applicable for us all.

We got ourselves ready to head out and got the trailer all hitched up and pulled out of Little Farm on the River RV Park right around noon. We had a pretty country drive of right around 2 hours to get to our next park.

We got all set up in our new site and the kids hit the large playground which is right out the back of our trailer. The kids were playing with other kids and having a great time. I decided to make some hamburgers for lunch/dinner. I dreaded getting the BBQ grill all dirty since it is such a pain to clean so that I decided to try the griddle on the BBQ to make the hamburgers. I also toasted the buns on there as well. The burgers turned out surprisingly well. Brighton thought they were the best I'd ever made. Hmm.

After lunch, we headed up to the park's pool. It was crystal clear and clean, a good temperature and had a slide into it. Fun. It felt really good on this hot muggy day. The kids were so excited that Dad even got into the water.

After pool time, we came back to the trailer and put our dry clothes on and brainstormed some menu ideas for the next few days. We then hopped into the Yukon to go return our Redbox movies at Walmart and buy our groceries. We all worked together at the store and the shopping was done in record time.

After shopping, we decided to hit the yogurt shop called Frozone for some tasty treats.

It was a good day.

As I write this, we are hearing some strong thunder outside. The eastern part of the state is under a flash flood watch, but it doesn't seem to affect the area where we are.
