Welcome to our Adventure...

We packed up the kids, dog and the trailer and headed out for adventure, learning and helping others. During our adventure we will try to update this site as often as possible to keep everyone interested involved in our travels and to keep a journal for ourselves. The plan is to be working, schooling, helping and sharing on the road for a year.
Please feel free to post comments and questions! Thanks for following!

Girls' Night Out

Today, the kids and I worked on schoolwork in the morning. Around 11:30, Spence, Bri, and I went to the airport to pick up Anne Schoolcraft, from Minneapolis, who is here for the HTG Conference representing she and Keith's company, A Couple of Gurus. Tom the gps was very helpful in getting us to the airport, avoiding tolls, and getting out of the airport and to the hotel to drop Anne off. He wasn't good at telling me which terminal Anne would be at (wink), but that all worked out without too much delay thankfully.

When we got back to the campground, Spence played legos with Sky, while Bri, Bryn, and I finished up our schoolday. It was then time to pile in the car again, all of us, to go pick up Anne at her hotel. Brock dropped she and I off at Downtown Disney so we could have a Girls Night. We walked the whole strip of DD and then walked to a little Irish Pub where she had a coupon for a free appetizer and we got to eat dinner and visit and watch Irish dancers. Dinner was great and then we walked some more and watched different live performers. there were several very different acts and a couple of human statues. We walked through a couple of stores, but mostly it was just relaxing.

In the mean time, Brock the kids to the airport to pick up Harald, who also flew in to attend the conference with Brock. He and Harald and all the little McFarlanes went to Steak n'Shake for dinner. From what I hear, everyone enjoyed the burgers and especially the LARGE shakes. It timed out well for Brock, Harald and the kids to come back and pick us up and we dropped Anne and Harald back at the hotel.

Everyone was really tired when we got back to the trailer and Spencer and Skylar got into bed with no complaining. They've been in bed for about an hour and a half and to let you know just how tired they are...Brock and I just now heard a big thump in the kids' bunkroom. When I went to investigate, I found Sky and his comforter on the jcube beds which were already occupied by Spence and Bri. He was laying completely perpendicular to on top of them. He was still sound asleep as was everyone else in the room. It looked really funny and even now I'm giggling as I remember lifting Sky back up into his bunk. He obviously had a soft landing. Good times.
