Welcome to our Adventure...

We packed up the kids, dog and the trailer and headed out for adventure, learning and helping others. During our adventure we will try to update this site as often as possible to keep everyone interested involved in our travels and to keep a journal for ourselves. The plan is to be working, schooling, helping and sharing on the road for a year.
Please feel free to post comments and questions! Thanks for following!

A Quiet Day for Us

Seeing all the news images of deadly tornadoes in Oklahoma City from today, we are definitely humbled. We feel grateful that we have been safe over the course of the last few days. We have really only seen some hard rain here where we are parked. We are praying for all those affected by this tragedy.

We were under a tornado watch pretty much all day, but our weather turned out to be very nice overall. We had really only one strong rain storm with a little bit of thunder. No hail...no big winds.

There was some equipment working in the park today and several workmen working to plant a LOT of new trees around the park. We got to watch the little skid steer with a big drill bit dig a hole about 3 feet across and 3 feet deep just one site over from our campsite. Sky thought that was pretty cool.

I was so surprised to find that this park even had a laundry room in one of the restroom buildings so I did one load of laundry. There was only one washer and one dryer and the price was ok, but it's so time consuming doing one load at a time and walking 10 minutes each step of the process, I decided to hold off on any more washing until our next stop.

Once we finished up our school work, while Brock was still finishing up his work day, the kids and I and Heidi walked to a little playground just outside the campground and had a little playtime.

We had a leftovers dinner which is always easy for me and it's somewhat satisfying to clear shelves in the fridge.

Tonight, the local news weather reports that we can breathe easily. They think that the severe storm threat has passed. I'm so thankful that we can trust God no matter what happens.
