Welcome to our Adventure...

We packed up the kids, dog and the trailer and headed out for adventure, learning and helping others. During our adventure we will try to update this site as often as possible to keep everyone interested involved in our travels and to keep a journal for ourselves. The plan is to be working, schooling, helping and sharing on the road for a year.
Please feel free to post comments and questions! Thanks for following!

Anticipation

Can't wait to hear how our big surprise went today. Brock and Brighton ended up flying to Bend on Wednesday so that Brock could help out at the Weston office and Brighton would have some jobs to help with too. The rest of us are very jealous that they get to go home, but realize that this was the best solution.

We didn't say anything in the blog before now because we found out that our Grams is walking in an MS Walk-a-thon in Corvallis today and Brock and Bri decided to surprise her and show up there and she reads our blog. We haven't seen her or Gramps in the 8 months since we left! They might be face to face right now! The rest of us are longing for those hugs and can't wait to hear about it.

We had a nice leisurely morning around the trailer. Then ate breakfast and got ready for the day. We needed to get some grocery shopping done and with our boys out of town, I planned to stock up on fresh fruits and veggies at Costco. We decided to take our basketball and look for an elementary playground with a hoop. By the time we found one though, the wind had picked up enough that it was blowing the dirt in our eyes and stinging our skins again. Spence and Sky played on the playground for about 5 minutes and then we continued our journey to to Costco.

After stocking up on good stuff, we picked up our berry smoothies and headed to the faithful Yukon. Our next stop was a Goodwill to drop off three grocery bags of outgrown kids' clothes. :o( There we also found two replacement pairs of shorts for Spencer and a pair of comfy pj shorts for me all for a total of under $5.50 including tax.

As I left Goodwill, we needed to hit Walmart so we could pick up the remaining items on the shopping list and return our redbox movies, but I got a little turned around, and we ended up driving in a few circles. After a short while, I pulled into a parking lot and checked google maps and realized I was only a few miles in the wrong direction. LOL We drove directly to Walmart and as quickly as possibly fulfilled the rest of the list. Back in the Yukon, the kids begged me to let them look at the animals at PetCo which was across the parking lot. I was able to use the ice cream to my advantage and limit our time to 5 minutes.

We peeked at the reptiles, birds, hamsters and kitties. I looked at Heidi's dog food, but the bag was at least $2 more expensive than at Walmart so I didn't get any.

From there, I confidently navigated us straight back to the trailer. ;o) (No more circles) After putting away all our goodies, we gorged ourselves on lots of beautiful, colorful fruits and a pepperoni pizza.
