Welcome to our Adventure...

We packed up the kids, dog and the trailer and headed out for adventure, learning and helping others. During our adventure we will try to update this site as often as possible to keep everyone interested involved in our travels and to keep a journal for ourselves. The plan is to be working, schooling, helping and sharing on the road for a year.
Please feel free to post comments and questions! Thanks for following!

Super Relaxing Sunday

It was a leisurely Sunday morning since the church service we chose didn't start until 11:15. We got there and Spence and Sky decided to go to the children's service. They had a good time even though it was a large church and they were separated into their different age groups after the initial worship period where they were together. The church gave out little welcome packages for visitors so each boy got a balloon on a stick and a little sack with a pencil and a little notebook and a couple of candies. They were also enthusiastic about receiving a couple of tattoos. The big kids and Brock and I enjoyed the service in the main sanctuary as well. I really enjoyed the music part of the service. The youth pastor spoke and started off a new series call Trivial Pursuits for the congregation about pursuing relationships instead of information if you want any change in your life.

Like undercover superheroes, the boys wore their Hulk shirts under their button up shirts they wore to church.

After church, we had an amazing lunch at Rocket Buffet right near the entrance to our rv park. It was an Asian buffet and everything that we tried was really good. There were a lot of different dishes to try and a ton of more uncommon ones for a buffet like sushi, crab legs, steamed clams, and tiny little octopi. Not saying we tried all of those...but there was fried zucchini that was really good. They had lots of desserts including soft serve ice cream. Brighton said he thought it was the best Chinese food we'd eaten on this trip. I think I would agree!

We practically rolled ourselves out of the restaurant we were all so full. We came back to the trailer and all just laid around and relaxed for quite awhile. The kids all plugged in to their electronic entertainment and Brock and I attempted to get a nap.

Late in the afternoon, or maybe early evening, we hit the b-ball courts and tennis courts. Fun times. It was a really pleasant evening.
