Welcome to our Adventure...

We packed up the kids, dog and the trailer and headed out for adventure, learning and helping others. During our adventure we will try to update this site as often as possible to keep everyone interested involved in our travels and to keep a journal for ourselves. The plan is to be working, schooling, helping and sharing on the road for a year.
Please feel free to post comments and questions! Thanks for following!

Dinner and a Movie

Today started out with clear, but cold skies. I think we got down to freezing last night. There was only minimal winds when I got up and took the dog out, but what wind there was was cold.

We worked on our normal work/school and we worked on catching up on our cleaning chores since some of us had gotten behind in the last couple of days.

When we were done, we decided to head out for a movie. I felt proud that I could find the theater since it was in the same mall as the JCPenney store that we'd already visited last week. We were able to make it for the matinee showing of The Croods. I hadn't really wanted to see it, but it actually turned out to be a lot better than I thought it would be. I actually laughed out loud quite a few times and I even choked up once or twice.

After the movie, we walked around the Cottonwood Mall to see what was there. Spence and Sky were not quite all in with that idea so we made it quick and then headed out to the parking lot. We googled restaurants in the area and settled on Lumpy's Burgers. It had a good score on the google reviews.

Full-size Hot Air Balloon inside the mall

It turned out to be pretty good. You fill out your own order on the bag that they put your food in. So it is all spelled out. You check a box next to which size burger you want. Then you select your toppings. They a had a few toppings that cost extra (ie. bacon, avocado), but most every regular topping you could think to add was free. Then you chose what kind of fries, Idaho or Sweet. Then, you chose skinny or screwy. Skinny means like regular thin-cut fries and screwy is kind of like potato chips, but all linked together. You go and select a potato from bins and then go up to the counter and pay for your order. You can watch them put your potato in the cutter or the drill thingy (like a apple peeler, corer, slicer, kind of).

The food was tasty and fresh.

When we left Lumpy's, we hit the store for a quick in and out to grab some milk for tomorrow and drove back to the trailer. I know we've been here in one place too long because I'm starting to get a feel for where things are. ;o)

I had to take Heidi out for two walks so she could complete all her business and be ready for bed and I was really shivering and somewhat impatient with her. I think it's only in the low 40's here, but the wind is chilly and it seems like such a drastic change from the 80 degrees that we had recently.
