Welcome to our Adventure...

We packed up the kids, dog and the trailer and headed out for adventure, learning and helping others. During our adventure we will try to update this site as often as possible to keep everyone interested involved in our travels and to keep a journal for ourselves. The plan is to be working, schooling, helping and sharing on the road for a year.
Please feel free to post comments and questions! Thanks for following!

Downtown Fredericksburg

We all worked hard to get our work and school done in the early part of the day so that we could drive in and take a quick walking tour of historic downtown Fredericksburg. It is a quaint little town, feels pretty touristy. There are several German restaurants and lots of cowboy-inspired designs.

We found Brynna a cowgirl tee shirt and me a pair of earrings.

We toured a candy store that had chocolate dipped pickles, chocolate covered bacon, and chocolate covered jalapeno. They had all kinds of novelty candies. There was a 20 something pound gummi bear behind the counter.
Outside the Candy Bar Store
We hit the Walmart on the way back to the trailer.  Brock had a phone meeting in the car. Spence and Sky stayed with him and played their DS's quietly while Bri, Bryn and I did some serious grocery shopping. We also found a new water hose since ours has been leaking at the fitting and I found Tom (gps) a new charger. He started freaking out again lately and it turns out that even though the other charger we bought had been working for awhile, Tom recently started to exhibit the same locking up symptoms that he did before. Though the charger said it was the required 2 amp output, it turns out it split the 2 amps between the two ports on it so maybe Tom was really only getting 1 amp. I found a USB charger that says 2.1 amp and only has one port. We'll see if it works and I'll keep the receipt just in case.
Sky sitting in the grass in the "wilds" behind our trailer

Skylar has been loving the outside area behind our trailer at this Jellystone campground. He played within the boundaries I set for him for a couple of hours today. I looked out at one point and he was just sitting in the grass playing quietly. Another time he came to the trailer door and opened it and said, "I built my first construction project! It's a bridge!" I was a little worried at first because there is a creek back there (outside Sky's boundaries), but he just meant over a little dry gully right behind the trailer. :o)
