Welcome to our Adventure...

We packed up the kids, dog and the trailer and headed out for adventure, learning and helping others. During our adventure we will try to update this site as often as possible to keep everyone interested involved in our travels and to keep a journal for ourselves. The plan is to be working, schooling, helping and sharing on the road for a year.
Please feel free to post comments and questions! Thanks for following!

Hooray for Friday

Brock had a good run with Heidi. It was sunny, but cool and windy.

School went much better today. Brighton decided to work independently on most of his schoolwork so that he could have some more free time in the afternoon. Brynna is now fighting a cold, not too successfully, as she felt pretty puny today . The nice thing was that I sent Bri to the lodge to wash our sheets while I worked with Brynna back at the trailer. Spencer got done with his schoolwork early and so he and Skylar spent hours organizing their Legos this afternoon. They focused on finding all the miscellaneous people parts that they had in their boxes. They came up with what looks to me like an angry mob, but if you look at each minifigure individually it is pretty impressive.

We had a snafu with our mail delivery today. Tracking information says the package was delivered, but the resort doesn't have it. We're planning on leaving tomorrow. Hopefully we can locate it. The mailroom here is closed for the weekend. Not sure what to do. Might have to stay extra nights, but we don't want to because we'll still have to pay for the campspot at the RV park in Galveston, TX where I was able to make a reservation this morning before I knew about the missing package. I will try calling the town post office in the morning to see if they can give us any insights.

Tonight we headed in to town to grab a gallon of milk and take out from Sonic. Hooray for a no cook/no dishes night. Brock and Skylar did two reading lessons tonight. He only has seven more lessons to go to complete his reading lessons book. He's doing great and we will have a celebration next week when he finishes. He's becoming quite the little reader!
